Authentication to Bayan System

  • Service that allows individuals, companies, or customs clearance offices to register employees/individuals to the Bayan System, or grant authority/code.
    • For Individuals: activate personal ID at Civil Status.
    • For Companies & Establishments: must be registered at Ministry of Manpower.
    • For Customs Clearance Offices: must be registered as a Customs Clearance Officer or Broker, and complete the customs clearing course.
    • Copy of personal ID.
    • Customs Clearance Course Certificate (for Customs Broker).
  • Official from company/office logs into Bayan System as User Administrator under category of “individual user” and fills in required data.

Food Stuff Clearance

  • Permit Terms:
     
    • Inspection application must be submitted two days before arrival of goods at port.
    • Special conditions apply to goods and country of destination.
    • Veterinary quarantine may refuse exit or order destruction of goods.
    • Release of goods results in issuance of a Medical Certificate.
       
    Required Documents:
     
    • Exit request.
    • Company registration (with activities).
    • Radiation-free certificate (milk & milk products).
    • Halal certification (meat & poultry).
       
    Processing Time:
     
    • Approval within 2 hours during official working hours, 7 days a week.
    • Release of shipment 24/7, within 2 hours of submitting goods for inspection.
       
    ​
    • Foreign invoices/documents must be translated into Arabic (if required).
    • Required invoices/documents must be attached.
    • Detailed list of shipment contents (description, quantity, weight).
    • Must match all other shipping documents (total weight + number of packs).
    • Certificate of Origin for preferential rates.
    • Proves where the food was manufactured/produced.
    • Mandatory for imports if you want lower or zero-rated duties.
    • Proof of origin may be requested during export clearance.
  • Permit Terms:
     
    • Test reports required for each food product.
    • Sample data card for each product (Arabic required for export to Arab countries).
    • If any claim is made regarding the data card, supporting certificates must be attached (e.g., halal, GMO-free).
       
    Required Documents:
     
    • Test report from certified laboratories for each product.
       
    Processing Time:
     
    • Approval within 2 hours during official working hours, 7 days a week.
    • Release of shipment 24/7, within 2 hours of submitting goods for inspection.
